Yoga wear: bright and colorful, or basic and understated?

How do you yoga? Do you like simple and basic, organic cotton or technical fabric, flat color or vibrant prints? What works and what doesn’t? We would like to hear it from you.

Those that prefer to blend into the background might prefer an inconspicuous design, a flat color, perhaps. Others might like a flash of color, or a nice floral print to bring some life to the mat. But preferences in yoga apparel isn’t just about appearances. Function is pivotal. Yoga garments need to fit just right, not too loose and not too tight. They need support free movement, and encourage confidence.

Lululemon top, Organic cotton tank by Patagonia, and performance fabric tank by YMX.

For those that prefer solid colors, Lululemon Athletica might be a good bet, with a variety of designs and shapes from which to choose. Or if you are looking for eco friendly fabrics with a little more flash, you might try Patagonia or Prana. For the best of both worlds, and a little more, yoga apparel by YMX offers unrivaled prints with silky performance fabrics. They can be found directly at YMX or in the exclusive YMX yoga line at Athleta.

This is my favorite shirt to wear to yoga – it’s really light weight and when I get tired or am feeling particularly unmotivated, the design always gives me the extra push I need! The price helps, too – I have a hard time spending a lot of money on yoga clothes! http://scaredpanda.com/products-page/t-shirts/chaotic-peace-t-shirt/
